The nursery has always been one of the most important ministries in the church. At Tabernacle, we have several women who dedicate their time to this ministry on Sundays and Wednesday evenings. These women serve based on a rotating schedule so that everyone has an opportunity to be a part of the ministry, and each person takes the training required to work with children in the church. The blessing of the nursery allows parents of our 0-to-5-year-olds to attend Sunday School, Sunday morning services, Sunday evening services, and Wednesday night Bible studies. The nursery is also a crucial ministry because it prepares our young ones for our other children’s ministries, like children’s church and the Kids4Truth Club. The children are first introduced to Bible stories and Jesus’s love in the nursery, which is why it is so important that we continue to invest in this ministry and the lives of our littlest members.

“Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, but Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.'” (Matthew 19:13-14)
