Our Purpose

The purpose of Tabernacle Baptist Church is to glorify God Almighty. We strive to accomplish the goal through:
– A passionate public worship of God, through biblically sound teaching and preaching,
– Through a consistent gospel outreach to the world,
– Through a focused effort to build up believers in the faith,
– And with everything being done in total submission and obedience to the divine Word of God.

We believe:

• That the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God.
• In the trinity of the Godhead: one God eternally existing in the three equal Persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• In the deity, virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and imminent, pre-millenial coming of Christ.
• In the personality of the Holy Spirit by Whom believers are called, regenerated, baptized into Christ, indwell, sealed and filled for service.
• In the direct creation of the universe and man by God apart from any process of evolution.
• That all people everywhere are sinners and are unable to do anything to save themselves.
• That salvation is only received by grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross.
• In believers baptism by immersion into a local church body.
• In a pre-tribulation rapture of believers.
• In the eternal life and blessedness of all believers in heaven and the eternal existence and punishment of all unbelievers in the lake of fire.
